Hawaii Striped Nails!

Aloha! I'm gonna go ahead and just pretend I'm back in Hawaii....sighh...

SO, I finally got the new OPI Hawaii collection! I loooove them. I also got the mini set of 50 Shades of Grey, but I'm too in love with the Hawaii collection that I have no immediate plans to use any shade of grey. I'll probably force myself to though. They're actually my first set of OPI minis, I can't get over how adorably teeny tiny they are.

Anyways, I wanted to use as many Hawaii colors as possible, so I did my pinky and thumb neutral, and did three striped accent nails. I've decided they look a little odd. Not my favorite look, but I used 10/12 of the colors. If you've seen "Pineapples Have Peelings Too," you'll know why I passed on that one. It kind of looks like clown vomit, and not in a good way, drunk clown vomit. I'd like to attempt to make it look good sometime though...if that's possible. "Go With The Lava Flow" I just couldn't fit in there.

For the stripes I just used striping tape to mask off some bare nail. Didn't realized it leaked under a bit on the middle nail...o well.

I used:
  • OPI: Do You Take Lei Away?
  • OPI: Lost My Bikini In Molokini
  • OPI: Hello Hawaii Ya?
  • OPI: Aloha From OPI
  • OPI: Suzi Shops & Island Hops
  • OPI: My Gecko Does Tricks
  • OPI: That's Hula-rious!
  • OPI: Is Mai Tai Crooked?
  • OPI: Just Lanai-ing Around
  • OPI: This Color's Making Waves
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Blue Watercolor Chevron Nails!

Hiiii! I have no interesting thoughts to share with you today, so I'm just gonna go ahead and show you some nails. I saw another print in Pinterest...

I did a light blue base and sponged two other shades of blue on top, then using a thin brush did all the line work. I really liked this print, but I don't know, maybe I wasn't in a blue mood. I wasn't loving these for some reason. Maybe I don't like it on my shortie nails. Maybe they kind of remind me of spiderwebs. Maybe I'm just still hung up on last weeks floral mani...sigh. I think I'd wear that one forever. Maybe I'm just rambling now.

 I used:
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: Can't Find My Czechbook
  • OPI: Amazon...Amazoff
  • Essie: Borrowed & Blue
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Nude Floral Accent Nails!

Florals again! Because today was 50 degrees, which, is pretty much summer at this point.

These I really liked, I was kind of craving a clean nude mani, but then I wouldn't have anything exciting to post, so I compromised (with myself) and did a sheer nude with yet again another Pinterest inspired floral print. I think the print is actually from Paper Source. Also I cut my nails...so much winter breakage.

Gold Square Pattern Nails!

Heyyyyooooo! How are you? Good? Good. Cool.

Today I have another Pinterest inspired mani, which is becoming pretty typical for me. I'm probably going to peruse Pinterest after posting this to look for some more inspiration. The snow here in Massachusetts is slowwwwwwly killing me. Hey spring! Where you at?!? Maybe some floral nails for next week will inspire Mother Nature.

No florals today though. I found this funky pattern and I really liked the gold with the turquoise. I used OPI "Amazon...Amazoff" as my base and sponged some Essie "Turquoise & Caicos" for a little depth.

Keith Haring Nails for Valentine's Day!

Hi guys! I have a Valentine's Day mani to share today! Well, sort of. (Hopefully they last till Saturday)

I've been wanting to do a Keith Haring mani for a long time now, but was too scared to attempt it. I decided now would be a good time to try them and use some of his heart imagery. I was planning on getting more complicated and adding the little people in, but chickened out in the end. But I did do the little walking heart and it makes me laugh. I just did dots on my other fingers because it seemed to go together, even though I did them in my last post. (Don't mind that little smudge...I waited 45 minutes before top coat and stillllll!)

Black, White & Pink Nails

Hey there!

I'm really disappointed in myself guys, I didn't get to do any Patriots nails! I'm not a huge sports fan, but they're my home team and I really wanted to do a Pats mani. I had a crazy busy weekend which, ended with watching the Superbowl sans nail polish. I was hoping I'd be able to go to the parade so I'd have a reason to do them, but the parade was this morning, and it's super cold out and snowy in Boston...

Anyways, instead I have a black, white & pink mani for you today. I think they're kind of mod looking. I got my inspiration from this image I found on Pinterest. I really loved the design from the image and think it translate well on my nails.
