4th of July Nails!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY/INDEPENDENCE DAY/BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTIE!

I know I've been super slow on posting but I was determined to get some nails done last night for today! Woo! I'm even managing to find time to share them with you (after making three desserts!)

Pretty straightforward, Red, White, Blue, Stars, Stripes. Classic.

Hope all my American followers have a fantastic fourth! We're having a pool party!! I'm excited since last year it down-poured all day and I watched "Orange is the New Black" with my mom all night...so lame.

Summer Print Nails!

Heyyy there! You know what I love? SUMMER. It's my favorite, and I'm off work all next week! My work shuts down for the 4th and I'm pumped! Hopefully I can squeeze some nail art in between adventures.

To start my vacation off, here are some summer nails! I originally thought "I should do pineapple nails!" But I decided I didn't want pineapples on every single nail, so I thought flamingos, and palm trees, and flowers! (oh my) The flamingos ended up being my favorite. They're so cuuuuutttteeee!

Mara Hoffman Bikini Nails!

Hi. Hi. Hi. I'm excited. I'm head over heels in love with these nails.

I have been dying to get my hands on a Mara Hoffman bikini since I first discovered them, but they're so expensive so I knew I would never get one. Her patterns are crazy awesome and I knew I would have to do my nails based on one this summer. I was going to wait a bit to do them, but then last week I just happened to pop on over to her site to drool/cry and she was having a sample sale! I KNEW THIS WOULD BE MY ONLY CHANCE! SO I BOUGHT ONE AND I'M IN LOVE!

I actually bought a bikini AND a dress (totally going to do nails for that too) for about the normal price of one bikini top…crazy! The kicker is, none of it was returnable, but it all fit! THANK GOD. I would have cried.

So anyways, I was so excited wearing my bikini by the pool on Saturday that I HAD to do my nails ASAP. What do you think?!?

Blue Floral Nails!

Heyyy everyone! I have some floral spring nails today that I did with a new Born Pretty Store Brush! I recently saw a rose tutorial but I can't remember where! It was really simple though, I used a dotting tool to put a big dot of light colored polish and then used this Born Pretty Store Brush to swirl a darker shade on top. It creates this easy marbled look. Then I just used the same brush to add some gold leaves. I think they turned out really cute!

OH, I also used a make up sponge to blend two shades of blue for the base color.

Born Pretty Store Neon Studs!

Hi guys! I have a review for you today! Got a couple products from Born Pretty Store, and this review is for their "Mixed Rhombus" studs. They come in awesome neon colors and different shoes, perfect for summer nails!

For this look, I used the neon yellow studs to compliment the neon yellow (unintentionally zebra looking) stripes on my accent nails. They were easy to use, I used a (licked) toothpick to pick them up and it worked fine.

Neon Tips!

Hi there! Is it feeling like Summer where you are? The last two days have been normal Spring nice, but this past Sunday was in the 90's, so naturally I sat by the pool and actually got some tan lines! Wooo! Tan lines in May!

Since it felt like Summer, I'll show you some more neon nails I did a few weeks ago. They're some simple neon yellow tips over a sheer nude. I love how they're just a subtle pop of "WOW!"

P.S. I used some weird lighting techniques for some of these photos because neon just doesn't look neon in nice lighting. I even used my flash on the last one, which I never do but it came out the most neon looking...figures.

Neon Nails!

Hey guys! I'm gonna make this quick, I'm tired and I have to pee really bad, but that's two flights up, so I'll post this first.

Remember that blood blister I was whining about? Well it randomly just kind of came off one day! I was so excited! Unfortunately it's in these photos, but my future posts wont have it. I managed to only have it in one set of nails!

So since blood blister got me down, I did some simple neon nails. Different color on each finger and an accent nail using "Clowning Around" by Lush Lacquer, which is just so fun!
