Mockingjay Nails!

Duh. Mockingjay!! I'm sooo excited! Can you tell? Hahaha. I've been binging on every cast interview I can find for the last couple of weeks because I just love that cast. I wish I was Jen, Josh & Liam's other bestie...sigh...

Ooooobviously I had to do a Mockingjay mani! I've already done three other Hunger Games manis here, here, and here, so I have to keep the trend going. I did these based on the book cover, like I did with my "Catching Fire" nails! I wish the actual Mockingjay wasn't so hard to see. There isn't a whole lot of contrast between it and the background of the book, and I didn't want to shade it too much because then it wouldn't look white anymore. The arrow is on the spine of the book.

Picture of the book, in case you don't know what it looks like.

Purple & Gold Blended Nails!

Hi guys! Purple Nails today!

These kind of reminded me of the Effie Trinket Nails because of the colors I used. I love these though. I almost did these with just the purples and left the middle as blank nail, but I decided to add the gold, and I really like the way they came out.

They were super easy too, I started with small streaks of the lighter purple from the edges of my nails. Then I did small gold center steaks, went over the lighter purple a little bit again, and then did smaller purple streaks on the edges.

I used:
  • OPI: Vant To Bite My Neck?
  • Zoya: Kieko
  • Essie: Good As Gold
  • Seche: Dry Fast Top Coat

Marble Nails!

Heyyyy! Today I have some marbled nails to show you. Not water marbled though. I can't handle that.

I had seen Chalkboard Nails' smoke tutorial look and I really liked it, but I was in the mood for some color. So I kind of used her technique, but all over my nails and with blues/greens so it doesn't look like smoke at all. But I like the way they turned out!

I used:
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: Fly
  • Essie: The More The Merrier
  • China Glaze: Metro Pollen-tin

Halloween Costume Nails!

Hi guys! Did you have a good Halloween? I hung around with my little cousins for a while before they went Trick or Treating, and then headed off to a friend's party! Obviously my nails had to match my costume. Can you guess what I was??

I used:
  • OPI: Fresh Frog Of Bel Air
  • China Glaze: Faity Dust
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

In case you didn't guess, I was Tinkerbell!
And my cousin was the lamest cat...hahaha
I guess my grandmother in the background
was a Pilgrim Pumpkin...

Rocky Horror Nails!

Hiii! I finally have a Halloween mani to show you this year!

I attempted some "Rocky Horror Picture Show" nails. I did the lips across my middle and ring finger, which, came out a little weird. I think they came out good, but the part where the teeth are biting the lip didn't really land in the most ideal spot, so it's hard to see. Then I did a gold pinkie for Rocky's shorts and Frank-n-Furter's corset.

I used:
  • OPI: Honey Rider
  • OPI: Gettin' Miss Piggy With It
  • OPI: Red Hot Rio
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: On Her Majesty's Secret Service
  • OPI: Black Onyx
  • Essie: Hip-Anema
  • Laquistry: Amazeballz
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Bright Triangle Nails!

Wooop! Posting within a week! Go meeee!
(Whatever, I'm proud of myself)

So it's Monday! Which is lame, but maybe these nails will make it better! I was so happy with the way these came out. I had it in my head but was afraid it was going to go badly. Instead, I loved them!

I started by thinning out some white polish and making a light outline of the stripes. Then I filled in all the tiny triangles, and went over the lines with white polish and a striping brush.

I used:
  • Essie: Come Here!
  • Essie: Butler Please
  • China Glaze: Purple Panic
  • China Glaze: Highlight Of My Summer
  • China Glaze: Flip Flop Fantasy
  • China Glaze: Metro Pollen-tin
  • Illamasqua: Rare
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: Can't Find my Czechbook
  • OPI: Suzi's Hungary Again!
  • Zoya: Purity
  • Zoya: Kieko
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat
