Pastel Brush Stroke Easter Nails!

Woaahhh, two posts within 4 days?!? Go me! Can I keep it up? Maybe...lol.

I mostly wanted to post these before Easter gets too far away, so I'm posting them before yet another Hawaii mani! Hope you're not sick of themmm!!! :)

Anyways, this idea kind of popped into my head after recently seeing this & this while blog reading (not another Pinterest inspiration, OMG!), and I loved the look, so I tried to do something similar. I used pastel shades over white and one swipe of gold too for a simple, cute Easter/springtime mani. Also, I had to file my nails down to little babies because my index finger nail broke really bad. I think they're cute though sometimes, it's kind of refreshing, and I think it worked with this look.

Hawaii Striped Nails!

Aloha! I'm gonna go ahead and just pretend I'm back in Hawaii....sighh...

SO, I finally got the new OPI Hawaii collection! I loooove them. I also got the mini set of 50 Shades of Grey, but I'm too in love with the Hawaii collection that I have no immediate plans to use any shade of grey. I'll probably force myself to though. They're actually my first set of OPI minis, I can't get over how adorably teeny tiny they are.

Anyways, I wanted to use as many Hawaii colors as possible, so I did my pinky and thumb neutral, and did three striped accent nails. I've decided they look a little odd. Not my favorite look, but I used 10/12 of the colors. If you've seen "Pineapples Have Peelings Too," you'll know why I passed on that one. It kind of looks like clown vomit, and not in a good way, drunk clown vomit. I'd like to attempt to make it look good sometime though...if that's possible. "Go With The Lava Flow" I just couldn't fit in there.

For the stripes I just used striping tape to mask off some bare nail. Didn't realized it leaked under a bit on the middle nail...o well.

I used:
  • OPI: Do You Take Lei Away?
  • OPI: Lost My Bikini In Molokini
  • OPI: Hello Hawaii Ya?
  • OPI: Aloha From OPI

  • OPI: My Gecko Does Tricks
  • OPI: That's Hula-rious!
  • OPI: Is Mai Tai Crooked?
  • OPI: Just Lanai-ing Around

Blue Watercolor Chevron Nails!

Hiiii! I have no interesting thoughts to share with you today, so I'm just gonna go ahead and show you some nails. I saw another print in Pinterest...

I did a light blue base and sponged two other shades of blue on top, then using a thin brush did all the line work. I really liked this print, but I don't know, maybe I wasn't in a blue mood. I wasn't loving these for some reason. Maybe I don't like it on my shortie nails. Maybe they kind of remind me of spiderwebs. Maybe I'm just still hung up on last weeks floral mani...sigh. I think I'd wear that one forever. Maybe I'm just rambling now.

 I used:
  • OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls
  • OPI: Can't Find My Czechbook
  • OPI: Amazon...Amazoff
  • Essie: Borrowed & Blue
  • Seche Vite: Dry Fast Top Coat

Nude Floral Accent Nails!

Florals again! Because today was 50 degrees, which, is pretty much summer at this point.

These I really liked, I was kind of craving a clean nude mani, but then I wouldn't have anything exciting to post, so I compromised (with myself) and did a sheer nude with yet again another Pinterest inspired floral print. I think the print is actually from Paper Source. Also I cut my nails...so much winter breakage.
